Department of the Navy awards Guam OTEC Study to Makai Engineering In Record Time

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Port Hueneme, California today awarded Makai Ocean Engineering of Honolulu, Hawaii $149,996.00 for the Guam Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) Feasibility Study. The closing date for the proposal was February 2^nd. Four proposals were received and evaluated in response to the solicitation. Additionally, two late proposals were received and not considered for award.
